Pearls are delicate and need to be wiped with a damp cloth with water at the end of each daily use. This will help the pearl keep its brilliant luster. If your pearl is neglected for too long, you can take it to a jeweler who specializes in pearl care. Never put pearls in ultrasonic machines or clean them with chemical solutions. Do not put hair spray or perfume directly on the pearl. When dressing, make your pearls the last thing you put on. Do not store pearls with other jewelry — store separately. Following these rules will keep you and your pearls happy!

Once you notice the pearl’s strand start to loosen up, it’s time to have it restrung. It’s important to practice healthy maintenance on your pearls!
